About Rovan Audio
Owner and Founder of Rovan Audio, Roland Vlok is qualified in the Trade of Radio & Television and has a National Diploma in Electronics.
After doing National Service in the Airforce in the late eighties, Roland completed his apprenticeship at Triad Electronics in East London. Thereafter, he worked at Philips Consumer Services as a technician for four years. After being the Marantz technician at Philips in Johannesburg, he accepted an offer from HFX Systems to set up a service department as they had become the Marantz distributor in South Africa.
This service department was awarded the ‘Best International After-Sales Service Award’ from Marantz. Since then Roland has completed various overseas training courses, namely through Marantz, Mark Levinson, Lexicon, B&W and Niko. Rovan Electronics still does repairs for HFX Systems.
The name ‘Rovan Electronics’ is combination of Roland and his wife Vanessa’s first names. The company was founded in 2011 and does repairs for many distributors of Hifi equipment, sells hifi equipment (new and second hand) and performs home theatre installations.
